Brandon and Sirisha are getting married
They met at Utah State University and fell in love
If you haven't noticed it's a love story that transcends distance
He is from Utah, and she is from here in Hyderabad
They are both volunteering with our group this summer
and the other night we went to their engagement party
We decided to pull out all the stops and get dressed in traditional clothes for the party
We also came prepared with some Bollywood dance moves
I would also like every one to note (although you may not be able to tell) I'm wearing genie pants in this picture
All the girls looked very fancy
After the ring ceremony the kids spent the rest of the evening destroying the stage
Sirisha asked us to do a country dance.
They love cowboys here
Unfortunately, we are NOT talented dancers
and
I'm not really a cowgirl- AT ALL
but the show had to go on...
So we did a rip-roaring rendition of the Cotton-Eye-Joe
(my grandma will be happy about that one- I've taught her how to do it a few summers ago)
This is more than a little embarrassing....so I'm just going to put the last little bit of our dance on here
Don't judge us
We really can't dance
It was a lovely ceremony
They will get married in Utah in August
Congratulations you two crazy kids!
Love,
Ale
